Phase 3 Sidewalks Session, August 1

Weston Today graphic

Phase 3 of the Town’s sidewalks project will be the subject of a virtual public information session on Tuesday evening, August 1 at 6:00.

The session is being held virtually, on Zoom. Those who prefer to participate on the phone can call (646) 558-8656 and enter webinar ID 818 8777 5827.

This phase, depicted in orange on the graphic at the top of the page, is the largest of the three. Most funds come from a federal grant. It picks up where Phase 2 leaves off: at the corner of Lords Highway and Old Hyde Road.

Sidewalks planned for this phase would run down Old Hyde Road to Norfield Road, turn right, and proceed to the entrance of Norfield Church, connecting to sidewalks built in previous phases. This completes a loop around the town center.

Phase 3 also includes a multi-use trail running behind Weston High School to Old Hyde Road and a sidewalk behind Norfield Church to School Road. On the graphic, these are depicted as dotted orange lines.

Phase 1 sidewalk construction, in red on the graphic above, is underway now. Phase 2, in pink on the graphic, is planned for 2024. Phase 3 (orange) is planned for 2025.

For 14 days after the public information session, questions and comments can be submitted to engineer Bridget Moriarty, preferably by email to bmoriarty@vnengineers.com, or by phone: (203) 234-7368.
