I write in support of Sam Nestor, and urge my fellow citizens to reelect her to the position of First Selectwoman.
As someone who has served on Town Boards and Commissions for the past 12 years plus, I have had the opportunity to observe and work with Sam, and I am extremely impressed by her passion for helping her fellow Westonites and responsibly fostering the development of our Town. Among her accomplishments are:
Creating unprecedented governmental transparency by proactively reporting to the public via “Town Hall Happenings.”
Maintaining strict fiscal responsibility by minimizing tax increases in an inflationary environment.
Overseeing the first-ever sidewalk development in the center of Town.
Pursuing creative ideas for developing the Town’s new Village District to bring more commercial activity here in response to residents’ needs.
Creatively allocating Federal grants to improve quality of life in Weston.
Leveraging her contacts in Hartford to obtain additional funding for development and energy efficiency in Town.
Focusing on sustainability for the long-term benefit of our Town.
If you reelect Sam, I am very confident that she, along with her running mate Tony Pesco, will build upon these accomplishments and work tirelessly for the benefit of our residents. I urge you to vote for her.
