We are writing to express our strong support for Sam Nestor and to urge you all to reelect her to the position of First Selectwoman. Throughout her tenure, Sam has shown an unwavering commitment to our community and has proven herself to be an exceptional leader.
We have lived in Weston for 35 years, we’ve seen many First Selectmen come and go, this is the first time we’ve decided to publicly support a candidate.
One of the main reasons we are advocating for Sam’s reelection is her dedication to transparency and inclusivity. She has made it a priority to listen to the concerns and ideas of our citizens, you might have seen her on her listening tour this fall, knocking doors nearly every day in order to really understand community concerns. She also created and writes the weekly Town Hall Happenings to inform and bring together the public. Under her leadership, our town has become a more welcoming and inclusive place for all residents.
Furthermore, Sam has demonstrated outstanding fiscal responsibility. She has worked diligently to keep the mill rate virtually flat, making sure that our tax dollars are being used wisely and efficiently. Her ability to navigate through complex financial challenges has resulted in improved services and infrastructure without burdening us with more taxes. This has been a direct result of her strong relationships with our state and federal delegations, bringing more than $35 million in grants during her tenure on the Board of Selectmen.
Lastly, Sam’s genuine passion for public service is evident in everything she does. She is a compassionate leader who truly cares about the well-being and success of our town and its residents. Her tireless dedication and hands-on approach have made a positive impact on numerous community initiatives and projects.
We wholeheartedly endorse Sam Nestor for reelection as our First Selectwoman. Her proven track record, commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and genuine care for our community make her the ideal leader. We urge all of you to join us in voting for Sam and her running mate Tony Pesco to ensure that our town continues to thrive.
