Kirby Brendsel Appointed to Police Commission

On December 17 the Board of Selectmen appointed Kirby Brendsel to the Board of Police Commissioners, filling the seat vacated by the resignation of Woody Bliss this summer.

Mr. Brendsel, a Weston resident for over a decade, is currently a member of the Conservation Commission, which now will have a vacancy. Previously, he has served on the Town’s Sustainability Committee and the Parks and Recreation and Lachat Town Farm commissions. He is vice president of the Board of Trustees of the Weston History & Culture Center and a member of the ad hoc committee for Weston’s Sister City Partnership with Siversk, Ukraine.

Professionally, Mr. Brendsel is a vice president and director at Flagstar Bank. His past work experience includes roles in banking, corporate real estate, investments, and strategic consulting.

Mr. Brendsel served in the U.S. Army as a major in the Military Intelligence Corps. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from the College of William and Mary and holds an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Management at Rice University.
