An application asking the Weston Planning and Zoning Commission to establish a second village district where Good Hill Road meets Route 57 has been withdrawn.

On September 24, Land Use Director Richelle Hodza was notified of the withdrawal by attorney Eric Bernheim on behalf of the applicant, Sasa Mahr-Batuz, owner of 4 Good Hill Road. No explanation was provided.

The commission had received the application — without discussion or presentation — in its August 5 meeting. A public hearing set for September 9 was postponed at the applicant’s request, and a hearing scheduled for October 7 is now canceled.

The application proposed a district encompassing five Good Hill Road addresses: numbers 1, 4, 5, 8, and 12. Number 1 is Weston Gardens. Number 4 is owned by Mr. Mahr-Batuz. Number 12 is the Norfield Grange. Number 5 is a private home.

Number 8 is also a private dwelling. Its owner was one of several residents who submitted letters to the commission objecting to the plan.
