Students Encouraged to Register to Vote

At an information table in the Weston High School entrance each Wednesday in October, students can learn about registering to vote.

Beginning on October 2, volunteers from the League of Women Voters will be at the table from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with information about how to register, early voting, and absentee ballots.

The volunteers will not be able to register students. They can only provide information. There will be no partisan or campaign material at the table.

Those who are not yet 18 years old but will be on or before Election Day, November 5, can go ahead and register now. The easiest way is to register online, which they can do if they have a current and valid driver’s license, learner’s permit, or a non-driver photo ID card issued by the DMV and a signature on file.

Online registration for all prospective voters is available here through October 18.

See our Election Section report for key dates and information about this year’s general election.
