In a podcast by Dick Kalt of the Y’s Men of Westport-Weston, First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor is joined by Public Safety Communications Director Larry Roberts in part one of a discussion about planned improvements to Weston’s land mobile radio system.

Mr. Roberts says a recent major house fire required substantial mutual aid from neighboring towns. The blaze was fought in challenging conditions, not the least of which was the limitations of Weston’s current radio equipment.

He and Ms. Nestor explain the status of replacement plans and options.
