“Winter Fun Fest” at Westport Playhouse

The Westport Country Playhouse presents a family “Winter Fun Fest” on Saturday, December 4, the first community event conceived, organized, and run by the new Playhouse Youth Council.

It all happens from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm in the Playhouse courtyard and the Lucille Lortel White Barn, benefiting Homes with Hope.

The event promises winter-themed enjoyment for every generation: games, story readings, a scavenger hunt, bingo, crafts, snacks, hot drinks, and music by the Staples High School Orphenians and Chamber Orchestra.

Admission to Winter Fun Fest is $5 for ages 4–18, $10 for adults, and $20 per household. Tickets can be purchased on the Playhouse website. For $5, you can also make a reservation for a photo with Santa. A limited number of event tickets may be available at the door.

A community food drive to benefit Homes with Hope and a toy drive for Toys for Tots take place during the festival. Donate a non-perishable food item, new book or toy at the event, and you will be entered into a drawing for a pair of tickets to a show in the Playhouse’s 2022 season.

The Playhouse Youth Council was formed earlier this year. Members act as change-makers and ambassadors in supporting the artistic and community-building mission of the Playhouse, which is celebrating its 90th year.
