Play Ball for All, the local organization where high school athletes and volunteer coaches mentor underserved youth and run baseball clinics, named its Teen Mentor Leadership Board for 2021 – 2022.

“The mentors have been instrumental in the success of our clinics and events over the past several years,” said Bob Barasch, the organization’s founder. “They have really stepped up since our inaugural board last year in collaborating on several new community pitch-in projects that we are excited to develop with our clinics and events.”

Board members include captains Luke Barasch and Evan Cavicchia, Chris Amato, Chris Komar, Sam Hensinger, Ben Landesman, Michael Amato, and Timmy Amato.

The mission of Play Ball For All is to bring the game of baseball and its supporting life skills to both community-based and underserved youth from surrounding towns. For teen mentors, the program offers early leadership opportunities, encourages volunteerism, and brings awareness to local youth causes.

In the past five years, Play Ball for All has hosted several hundred Connecticut youth at various clinics and events.

“Were grateful for the time and skills that our teen mentors share,” said Mr. Barasch. “We look forward to offering several mentor-led community pitch-in events during the coming months.”
