Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

Please join me in voting YES on the Early Voting Referendum question on your ballot on November 8.

The question reads: “Shall the Constitution of the State be amended to permit the General Assembly to provide for early voting?”

Hurdles that some residents may have to jump over to vote on that one day include: disabilities; childcare issues; work schedules; lack of transportation; and weather-related problems.

Connecticut is one of only four states that doesn’t have early in-person voting; let’s work to change that!

Voting YES would help start the process of allowing eligible Connecticut voters to cast their ballots early, thus increasing overall voter turnout.
