Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

Over the last few months I have had the privilege of crossing paths with Ceci Maher on the campaign trail a number of times. Having worked on a number of campaigns, I can confidently say it is rare to encounter a candidate who is so consistently enthusiastic, energetic, and down-to-earth as she is.

When I first met Ceci and introduced myself to her as a resident of Weston her eyes lit up. She went on to rave about her experiences campaigning in Weston, meeting folks at their doors and learning just as much about their concerns as she did their various farm animals.

I was admittedly caught off guard: usually when I introduce myself as being from Weston most people ask me where exactly that is. But, not only was it evident that Ceci was ready to engage us in town as her prospective voters and future constituents, it was immediately clear that she earnestly wants to become a member of our community.

That is exactly the kind of State Senator we need: someone who not only takes pride in representing a small town like Weston but also keeps coming back — even after the election is over — because she’s invested in our collective success.

Ceci Maher is the determined, effective, and refreshingly-human politician we need representing us in Hartford. I hope you’ll join me in supporting her candidacy for State Senate on November 8th.
