Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

For over 20 years, Senator Richard Blumenthal has been fighting for the people of Connecticut.

He has championed legislation that capped the cost of prescription drugs for Seniors, fought the big oil companies to reduce gas prices and helped spearhead the PACT act that extends healthcare and benefits to millions of veterans exposed to toxic chemicals in burn pits and elsewhere in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Most importantly to me, he has and will continue to fight for the right of women, not government, to make their own healthcare decisions. Anticipating the disastrous Supreme Court decision overturning Roe, he introduced the Women’s Health Protection Act which would codify a women’s right to an abortion. His opponent is fiercely anti-choice.

I have had the pleasure to see firsthand how Senator Blumenthal stands up for us, and now it is time for us to stand up for him. Please join me in voting for Senator Blumenthal on November 8.
