Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

Weston’s First Selectman is a complex role. To excel one needs to have an open mind, vision and enthusiasm. As Chairman of Weston’s Board of Finance, I have had the privilege of working with five First Selectmen.

From my seat, Samantha Nestor stands out having “hit the ground running” when she unexpectedly had to assume the position.

It was a seamless transition, as if she had been our “First Selectwoman” for a long time. Sam immediately reached out to discuss town activities and issues. Her engagement with the BOF is based on Sam’s focus on planning and transparency. One only has to look at Sam’s weekly “Town Hall Happenings” to see the focus on transparency.

Her ability to bring the parties together to move the Lachat project forward will transform one of Weston’s town jewels. And all of that is just a few months!

I am pleased to support Samantha Nestor for First Selectwoman and Martin Mohabeer as Selectman.
