Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

I am writing in support of Megan Loucas for the Planning and Zoning Commission. I met Megan through her now-husband, George Loucas, over 15 years ago when we all lived in Los Angeles. I knew her as she got her degree in architecture and started work in the design field.

Though life took us in different directions, we find ourselves back in the same town together once again. Nearly a year ago my wife, newborn son and I were looking to move out of Brooklyn — like so many others. Megan and George introduced us to Weston and their passion for and love of this town and community sold us on it. We are among the hundreds of new families to come to Weston during the pandemic and we will be voting in our first Weston Election on Nov. 2.

I know Megan far better than I know Weston. Here's what you should know about her: Megan works full-time as a residential architect. She has two little girls who are being taught to enjoy and respect the natural beauty of this town. She volunteers her time for this town as a member of the ZBA and the Town Building Committee. She is a collaborator and a listener. She has a passion for Weston that is palpable.

I will be casting my vote for Megan Loucas for Planning and Zoning because I know she will represent the best interests of the town and its residents and she has the experience that would make her an asset to P&Z.
