Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

I’m writing this letter in support of Martin Mohabeer’s candidacy for the Weston Board of Selectmen.

I met Martin by happy chance two years ago while I was engaged in a volunteer activity in one of the Weston schools. We started chatting, and I was immediately drawn to his kind, friendly and engaging nature. Soon thereafter, Martin joined into this volunteer activity, and we continue serving together to this day.

A mere glance at Martin’s resume shows how talented he is. However, his candidacy offers Weston so much more. He is genuinely interested in and concerned about others, a quality which is so important in a public servant.

In a small town such as Weston, politics is first and foremost about caring — caring for the health, safety and well-being of everyone, not just those in one’s own neighborhood, social circle, generation, or political party. Martin has this quality in abundance, and I have absolutely no doubt that he will serve the town well and with distinction.
