Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

As a long time Weston taxpayer, resident and voter, I support Sam Nestor in her bid for First Selectwoman. I believe that true leaders listen to all of their constituents, not only the ones they think agree with them; In my eyes, Sam is just such a leader.

As is the case for many of us who have lived in Weston for many years, I am very concerned about the fiscal position of our town and our tax burdens relative to other towns. There is much ongoing and angry discussion in town about this topic.

Several weeks ago, I sent Sam an email expressing my concerns and was surprised (at the time serving as a member of the BOS) that she reached out and suggested we talk. I found our conversation to be open, non-confrontational and enlightening.

Not only is Sam Nestor willing to talk to residents and exchange ideas, but I found her to be exceptionally well informed, forward thinking, yet faithful to Weston’s roots. It is my strong sentiment that Sam Nestor is the leader Weston needs. I hope you will join me in voting for her on November 2.
