Letter to the Editor

I would like to add my endorsement for Harry Falber, unaffiliated P&Z member running for re-election.

If you favor preserving Weston’s natural beauty, peace and quiet – as a rare enclave in an increasingly traffic-choked Fairfield County – you will not have a more loyal and effective ally than Harry.

Harry’s neither a “Don’t change a thing about Weston” die-hard, nor a pipe-dreamer who thinks our tiny town can support the gold-plated shopping and amenities of an East Hampton or a Greenwich. He favors a realistic, middle ground while standing firm on protecting our environment.

Finally, please do not pay attention to the partisan faithful who bad-mouth Harry because of his decision to run independently of a political party. It’s all just about fragile egos threatened by Harry’s willingness to speak his mind, rather than toeing a party line.

If you voted for Harry last time – and more of you did than for any other candidate – please vote for him again. He’s the same great Harry as before; only the label has changed.
