Letter to the Editor

TO THE EDITOR:

We in Weston have the opportunity to vote for an experienced candidate for First Selectman: Sam Nestor.

Sam brings to the table experience as a Board of Education member, a Selectman, and, now, First Selectman. Her communication skills are first rate as evidenced by her timely updates during tropical depression Henri and the aftermath of Hurricane Ida.

Sam’s ability to help obtain public-private funding has allowed Weston to renovate and update Fire Department, EMS and Town Hall facilities as well as secure $14 million in public funding for roads, bridges, water and septic, COVID reimbursements, and sidewalks.

As a resident of Weston for 37 years, a former chair and current member of the Commission on Aging and a founding member of the Youth Services Commission, I heartily endorse Sam for First Selectman and ask that you join me in voting for Sam on November 2.
