About Town

The Voters Guide is now available!

All those questions you wanted to ask about the candidates are here! Who are these people? Photographs and biographies are provided by the candidates. Why are they running? Where do they think their board or commission should be headed? Where do they think the Town is headed? Or perhaps should be headed.

This informative guide to our local election on November 2, 2021 contains a link to the actual ballot you’ll be using at the election. Check it out!

This Saturday morning on Zoom beginning at 10 am. The last two will be live. That would be the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Police Commission.

The candidates will answer your questions and confront each other.

Right after the P&Z’s contest we get to see how candidates running unopposed for the Police Commission answer what might be some questions about a civilian review board.

And if you miss the live debates, remember that the LWV of Weston will be uploading all of these important events as soon as possible to the League website. Go direct to the LWV debates here: https://lwvwestonct.org.

Questions for Planning and Zoning should be intriguing.

Consider that the Commission has just taken an enormous step in adopting a Village District distinction to the central part of Town. In place of the “Neighborhood Shopping Center Zone” from 1970. What will this mean for the existing Weston Shopping Center?

My question is “Why does it take so long to make any kind of change in Weston?”

“About Town” is also a television program. It appears on Sundays from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on Cablevision Channel 88 (Public Access). Or see it at www.aboutweston.com.
