An Evening in Georgetown, Oct. 15
On October 15 the village of Georgetown holds its first “Georgetown After Dark” event, an evening of shopping, dining, live music, community and local discovery from 5:00 to 8:00.
Organized by Georgetown Village Restoration, more than 20 Georgetown businesses and community organizations — shops, restaurants, wellness studios, and others — stay open late with special offers, promotions, discounts, live music and activities.
In addition to exposure, there is a community benefit, as participating businesses will donate a portion of their sales to the Georgetown Main Street Food Pantry.
“It’s a simple way to have a great night out and do some good at the same time,” said Georgetown Village Restoration President Nic Palazzo.
When you visit your first participating business, pick up a bingo card. Get it signed off at every stop along your way. This will earn you entries to a raffle, the number based on how many sign-offs you get.
Three stops get you one entry, five get you two, eight get you three, and ten get you four. You can drop off your card by 8:00 at a table at Milestone or The Georgetown Owl. Winners will be contacted later.
Prizes announced so far: a $100 gift card to The Georgetown Owl and a $100 gift card to Milestone. More to come.
Here are the businesses participating so far: Annmarie Skin Care, Casa Rosetti, Coldwell Banker Georgetown, Flanagan Family Dentistry, Georgetown Arts, Georgetown Veterinary Hospital, Georgetown Village Restoration, Kermit Bake Shop, Lombardi’s Trattoria, Love + Light Salon, Milestone, and Presence Massage & Wellness.
Also, Quartertone Coffee, STEM + CO, TBP Fitness & Wellness, The Georgetown Owl Market and Saloon, The Given Inn, The Granite, The Lifted Face, The Shops at Auburn Landing, Uncle Leo’s, Uncorked, Wild Blueberry, William Pitt Sotheby’s, Wiremill Academy at The Granite, Wiremill BBQ, and Yoga Station & Wellness.
