You can support the Domestic Violence Crisis Center this Memorial Day weekend with donations of personal care items in an effort organized by the Weston Police Department.
From Friday through Monday, donations can be dropped off at Police headquarters in the ground-level breezeway that connects to the emergency communications center.
Requested items, all of which must be new, include:
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Body lotion and deodorant
- Shampoo and conditioner
- Textured hair products
- Body wash
- Feminine hygiene products
- New bath towels
The DVCC brings lifesaving support to victims of domestic violence and their children, including emergency services, education programs for victims, legal advocacy, counseling and support groups, economic empowerment services, and an emergency safe house. All provided services are free.
