Voters in Weston’s annual referendum approved all three budgets recommended by the Board of Finance that emerged unchanged from the April 22 Annual Town Budget Meeting (ATBM). Turnout was around 6 percent.
| Budget | Yes | Yes % | No | No % |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Schools Operating | 328 | 65.3% | 174 | 34.7% |
| Capital | 332 | 65.6% | 174 | 34.4% |
The Board of Finance is scheduled to meet on Monday evening to set the new mill rate, expected to rise 2.8 percent to 24.57.
After the vote was announced, First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor said, “I am thrilled that the public came out and had their voices heard. This is the beauty of the town meeting form of government — everyone has a right to vote on the budget.”
Ms. Nestor expressed gratitude to “the team who worked so hard over the past several months to put the budgets together,” and thanked colleagues on the boards of Selectmen, Education, and Finance and their chairs.
