Congressman Jim Himes will be in Weston on Saturday, April 18, speaking and answering questions at the weekly Kiwanis Club meeting.

The meeting begins at 8:30 am in the Norfield Church parish hall. Mr. Himes is expected to begin around 9:00 am.

About this time last year, Rep. Himes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, spoke to a packed house at the Kiwanis meeting, only two months into the new presidential administration.

Among topics he addressed were cuts to Medicaid and other federal programs, the economy, the courts, the role of Congress, and a risk that the president’s actions could cause a Constitutional crisis.

“We’ve never seen lawlessness of this intensity,” he said.
