Rare Books & Their Value, Mar. 21
A free session on March 21 is an opportunity to find out if a treasured book is valuable and to possibly find a new home for it if you choose.
Weston bookseller Edward Crafts will tell you how to assess the value of books and explain your options, including dealers, auctions, Internet sales, or donation. He will also provide an on-the-spot book valuation (one book per family).
The session, “Rare Books: What Are They Worth?” takes place at the Weston History & Culture Center at 2:00 on the 21st. Registration is required, here.
Mr. Crafts has been a bookseller for nearly 25 years. His Ebay store (Ed’s Bookshelf) has sold more than 6,000 volumes, ranging from children’s books to 16th and 17th-century volumes
Conversant in several foreign languages, Mr. Crafts specializes in vintage books, illustrated books, classical sheet music and transportation-related items. He volunteers at both the Weston and Westport libraries, where he helps organize book sales and Internet sales.
