Tedeschi Trucks Band, Sept. 14

Summer may effectively be over, but the show goes on at Westport’s Levitt Pavilion, where the legendary Tedeschi Trucks Band takes the stage at the Levitt’s annual gala.
The band led by guitarist Derek Trucks and singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi, a Grammy Award-winning 12-piece powerhouse delivering a unique brand of rock and soul, are in the midst of their annual summer amphitheater tour.
Here is a taste from the band’s show in Massachusetts last weekend.
Ticket choices for Sunday’s concert, available here with more information, include the option to enjoy the gala cocktail party and after-party.
The Tedeschi Trucks Band has been on the road throughout the world for 15 years. In just the last two years, performances include acclaimed arena shows at TD Garden in Boston and Madison Square Garden, sold-out residencies in the United States, and tours through Europe and Japan. Salon described the shows as “nothing short of exhilarating.”
The band is about to release its latest album, “Mad Dogs & Englishmen Revisited,” the recording of a star-studded live concert 10 years ago celebrating the 1970 collaboration of Joe Cocker and Leon Russell.
Other shows on The Calendar as the season continues at the Levitt Pavilion include the Beatles tribute band Strawberry Fields, indie dance pop by Argonaut & Wasp, and the reggae spirit of Mihali.
