Community Concert & Picnic, Sept. 13

A free community concert and picnic on Saturday, September 13 features the Flying Fingers Jug Band, who play a fusion of “post-prohibition revelry, the vocal harmonies of bluegrass, and the authenticity of a juke joint.”

The band is an Americana-focused septet featuring washboard, wash tub bass, jug, dobro, fiddle, mandolin, saw, banjo, kazoo, and mouth harp.

It all happens on the front lawn of Norfield Congregational Church, starting at 4:00.

Everyone is invited to bring the entire family, friends, lawn chairs, blankets, and nibbles to this free end-of-summer community event sponsored by the Fellowship Committee of Norfield Congregational Church.
