Night Roadwork Set for Newtown Tpk.

A one-mile section of Newtown Turnpike will be milled and paved by state crews on five nights this week and next.

Work on the section of the road from just north of Valley Forge Road up to the Redding town line will be done between the hours of 7:00 pm and 5:00 am.

Weather permitting, milling will begin on the evening of Tuesday, June 3 and be done by 5:00 am on Thursday, June 5. Paving is scheduled to begin on the evening of Sunday, June 8 and be complete by the morning of Wednesday, June 11.
