The season has opened for the Dr. Jerry Brodlie Sunday Softball League at Morehouse Park, where pick-up games are played on Sunday mornings at 9:30.
Players of all levels are welcome, meaning that those lacking ability will be welcome with open arms and fit right in.
“You don’t have to be nuts to play, but it helps,” says de facto commissioner Peter Ottomano.
Games are played from April through October. You can just show up, preferably with a glove.
The Parks and Recreation-designated league has been on the field since 1990, when it was founded by the late Dr. Jerry Brodlie, in whose honor it is named.
