Frog Frolic Festival, May 3

The 28th annual Frog Frolic Family Festival, Redding’s outdoor community fair that benefits the Mark Twain Library, runs rain or shine on Saturday May 3 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm with a new added attraction: a classic car show.
The festival with live music and activities takes place at the Redding Community Center, 37 Lonetown Road (Route 107), behind Redding Elementary School. Admission is free. Food trucks are on hand, and you can buy tickets to participate in games and crafts.

The classic car show — the “Concours d’Grenouille” — features unique vintage cars and awards to standouts from a panel of expert judges. An entrance fee — five tickets (a total of $5) — gives you the opportunity to wander in and out of the car show all day and vote on the People’s Choice Award. An exit parade of cars follows the awards presentation.
The Mark Twain Library was founded by legendary author Mark Twain (Samuel Clemens) after his move to Redding in 1907. It is an association library (not a municipal one) that depends on volunteers and fundraisers to operate and thrive.
