A Thank-You at the Post Office

On Wednesday morning, a group of Weston residents thanked Mike Connors, a fixture at the Weston post office for the last 13 years, for his service to the town on the eve of his retirement.

First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor presented a certificate of appreciation to Mr. Connors, who said he has been with the U.S. Postal Service for 43 years.

“I have enjoyed the 13 years serving everybody in Weston,” he said. “I’m going to miss the people.” Mr. Connors said he will continue coaching special needs kids in Westport for at least another year, but he and his wife are contemplating a move to Maine.
