Probate Judge Lisa Wexler was honored on March 22 by Jane Doe No More, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering a society “that no longer spreads doubt, instills fear, casts shame, or places blame on survivors of sexual crimes.”

Judge Wexler was presented the Dr. Henry C. Lee Award by Jane Doe No More founder Donna Palomba and by Dr. Lee, the famed forensic pathologist in whose honor the award is named.

The judge was recognized for her work in court and on the radio to support victims of sexual violence and destigmatize sexual abuse.

Jane Doe No More trains survivors of sexual violence on how to educate others by sharing their stories and, in the process, healing.

The organization also educates students from middle school through college, trains women and girls on escape survival skills, conducts programs for law enforcement, medical, and legal professionals to help them better understand victims of sexual crimes, and works with employers by offering programs on preventing sexual harassment.
