The Weston Teachers’ Association (WTA) reaffirms its unwavering commitment to excellence in the education of all students within the Weston School district. Our teachers are dedicated professionals who have collectively devoted decades of service to fostering the growth and development of Weston’s young people.

We stand united in our commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment for every student. This includes a firm stance against antisemitism, racism, gender discrimination, and all forms of hate. We condemn such actions and address them promptly and appropriately.

We were deeply disappointed by the recent mischaracterization of our hardworking teachers through baseless claims. Such unfounded accusations undermine trust and create unnecessary fear within our community.

As president of the WTA for over a decade, I can attest that any issue, claim, or act by a professional within this district has been thoroughly investigated and appropriately addressed by the administration. No such claim has been verified. The WTA fully supports the district administration in their swift and efficient handling of these incidents.

We believe that the district acts in the best interest of all students in Weston, prioritizing their physical, mental, and emotional safety and security. We are dedicated to nurturing, teaching, and guiding our students towards responsible and engaged adulthood.

We recognize the importance of teachable moments, and we view this as one. We are a diverse staff, composed of individuals from various faiths, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and others. We are united in our condemnation of antisemitism, racism, gender discrimination, and all forms of hate within our schools.

The WTA remains dedicated to working collaboratively with the administration, parents, and the community to ensure a positive and enriching educational experience for all students in Weston.
