A Town Hall ceremony on March 25 honored the promotion of veteran Weston Police Officer Robert Curcio to the rank of sergeant.
Before an audience of colleagues, leaders of neighboring police departments, emergency responders and his family, Sgt. Curcio took the oath of office administered by First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor.
Police Commission chair Dawn Egan said Sgt. Curcio has “played a pivotal role making Weston a safer community.” She said the sergeant is a traffic management expert, a certified use-of-force trainer, and supports officers facing crisis.
Captain Joe Miceli said the role of sergeant “demands skill, courage, and the ability to lead.” He said Sgt. Curcio “stepped into the role with the trust, respect and gratitude of all who know him.”
