The Weston Public School District has named a new director of safety and security, who will begin duties on February 3.

The new director is James Wiltsie, a longtime law enforcement officer and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Most recently, Mr. Wiltsie was commander of the Fairfield Police Department School Safety Division, overseeing safety protocols for 17 public schools and supervising seven School Resource Officers.

Mr. Wiltsie holds a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management and Homeland Security from Post University.
