Support for the Food Pantry, Jan. 25

A Weston Kiwanis Club food and personal care products drive takes place on Saturday, January 25 at the Weston shopping center for the benefit of Weston Food Pantry clients.

From 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, Kiwanians will welcome donations of shelf-stable food at Lily’s Weston Market and of personal care products at the Weston Pharmacy.

The food pantry’s mission is to stock an inventory of items to ensure that no one in Weston goes hungry. Needed are non-perishable unexpired foods, pet food, toiletries, and household products and cleaners. As examples:

  • Canned fish and meat, such as tuna, salmon, chicken, and ham.
  • Breakfast food such as oatmeal, cereal, pancake mix, and syrup.
  • Drinks: apple juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and water.
  • Paper towels and toilet paper.
  • Shampoo and conditioner.
  • Toothpaste and toothbrushes.
  • Laundry detergent.
  • All-purpose cleaners.
  • Cat and dog food.

Cash donations are also welcome.
