Most clothing and footwear items priced under $100 are exempt from the state’s sales tax for one week from Sunday, August 18 to Saturday the 24^th.

Announcing the sales tax holiday, Governor Ned Lamont said the tax exemption applies to each eligible item costing under $100, regardless of how many items appear on the same invoice.

“As always,” said the governor in a statement, “I encourage shoppers to take the time to stop by some of Connecticut’s local businesses and support our amazing small business community.”
