Tours

“From the Page to the Stage” guided tours take place on Friday, August 23 and Saturday, August 24 from 10:30 am to noon. The tours are free, but space is limited, so you need to make a reservation online here.

Tour guide Bruce Miller, the Playhouse archivist, will take you to the theater’s celebrated stage and backstage for a look at the green room, dressing rooms, wardrobe room, scene shop, posters, photos, costume designs, and set models. Along the way, he will share anecdotes about the productions and artists who have worked at the theater during its 93 years.

You will also learn how the historic theater’s past has been preserved since its founding in 1931 and how state-of-the-art technology has been introduced in the years since.
