Rock legend Peter Frampton brings “The Positively Thankful Tour” to Westport’s Levitt Pavilion on Sunday, September 15, the highlight of a season that runs through autumn and is already in full swing with major attractions and more than 50 free shows on the schedule.

Mr. Frampton’s appearance is part of the Levitt’s 50th anniversary fundraising gala. Tickets and packages at a wide range of prices can be purchased here.

Mr. Frampton will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in October. His double live album “Frampton Comes Alive!” was released in 1976 and became one of the best-selling live albums of all time. His most recent album is 2021’s acclaimed “Frampton Forgets the Words,” an all-instrumental volume.

For the past five years, Mr. Frampton has written, recorded, and performed in a race against the clock, following the diagnosis of an untreatable degenerative muscle disease. But his 2019 farewell tour has been followed by the “Never Say Never Tour,” the “Never EVER Say Never Tour,” and now “The Positively Thankful Tour” of nine scheduled concerts, including at the Levitt on September 15.

Upcoming ticketed shows at the Levitt Pavilion include singer-songwriter Chelsea Cutler on July 27, a hometown stop on her national “The Beauty Is Everywhere Tour.”

In August, Pink Talking Fish takes the stage, with a hybrid tribute fusion act that blends the music of Pink Floyd, the Talking Heads, and Phish.

Also in August, the Levitt welcomes Andrew Bird, an indie rock multi-instrumentalist, singer, and songwriter. Over the past 18 years, Mr. Bird has released 16 studio albums and several live albums in genres ranging from swing to folk and indie rock. He has headlined concerts at Carnegie Hall, Sydney Opera House, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and festivals worldwide.

Levitt programming also includes free performances of music, dance, comedy, and a children’s series. New free and paid shows are announced throughout the season as they are scheduled and listed on the Levitt Pavilion’s events calendar.
