For the eighth year, Emmanuel Church celebrates local talent with “The Arts Bloom in Weston,” an evening featuring highlights of works by professional and amateur artists from Southern Connecticut, live piano jazz by Karl Schulz, a silent auction, and wine and cheese.
The evening starts at 6:00 in the church hall. Tickets, $35, can be purchased at the door. Attire is “smart casual.”
The idea is to give local artists an opportunity to show and sell their work, perform music, and to support New Paradigm Theatre with a portion of the night’s proceeds.
Art on display includes paintings, ceramics, mixed media, textiles, collages, sculpture, glass, drawings, printmaking, and photography.
Artists interested in submitting artwork for the exhibition can find the submission form on Emmanuel’s website. Forms are due by May 27th.
