TOWN OF WESTON

WARNING OF
SPECIAL TOWN MEETING, THURSDAY MAY 16th, 2024

The legal voters of the Town of Weston, Connecticut, are hereby warned and notified that a Special Town Meeting will be held at Weston Town Hall Meeting Room on Thursday May 16th, at 7:30 PM. The Board of Selectmen has nominated Barbara Reynolds to serve as Moderator of the Special Town Meeting in accordance with Sec 3.3b of the Weston Town Charter.

Persons eligible to vote at this Special Town Meeting must be an elector of the Town of Weston or a United States citizen of the age of eighteen years or more who, jointly or severally, is liable to the town for taxes assessed against him on an assessment of not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) on the last completed Grand List of Weston, or who would be so liable if not entitled to an exemption.

The meeting shall be held for the following purpose:

To consider and vote on the following question:

“Shall the Town lease town owned property located at 237 Godfrey Road to Greenskies Clean Energy for the proposed construction of solar arrays at the transfer station?”

A copy of the Proposal is available for inspection on the Town website at westonct.gov and in the office of the Town Clerk.
