Democratic Committee Elects Officers

The Weston Democratic Town Committee (DTC) elected its Executive Committee for the 2024-2026 term at a March 13, 2024, DTC meeting.

Candidates endorsed by the DTC Search Committee and elected by a majority of those members present were, Chairperson: Andrew Palladino; Vice Chairperson: Barbara Reynolds; Secretary: Cheri McKenzie; Treasurer: David Mannis; and Search Committee Co-Chairs: Dr. Kerry Sheffield and Chris Bryant.

Gayle Weinstein (Chair), Beth Gralnick (Search Committee Chair), and Andrea Chase (Treasurer) all withdrew their names from consideration for the new term. The DTC thanks these outgoing committee officers for their years of dedicated service and significant contributions to both the DTC and Weston.

“Looking ahead, the new Executive Committee is committed to working with transparency, inclusivity, and respect for every voice within the Committee and our community. The Weston DTC will only be further strengthened by a passionate commitment to common goals and alignment with each other to advance the principles and Democratic values we collectively share,” said Andrew Palladino.

“With the Presidential Preference Primary in Connecticut (April 2) just a few weeks away and the November general election less than eight months away, we have a lot of work ahead of us to help ensure our local, state, and federal Democratic Party candidates are supported, and the issues we care about remain front and center. The stakes couldn’t be any higher.”

He added, “I encourage all DTC members and fellow Weston Democrats to get involved at any level of engagement, and help share in our reinvigorated sense of purpose, and continued positive forward movement for Weston, and beyond.”
