Full steam ahead! This weekend, Weston Middle School’s Short Wharf presents The SpongeBob Musical, Youth Edition.

Kate Philpott plays SpongeBob, and is full of energy and enthusiasm! She is “not a simple sponge” and will blow you away with her acting and vocals. Her “BFF” Patrick Star is played by the intensely funny Emily Kapner, who will delight you with her singing and comedic genius.

You don’t want to miss the number “Chop to the Top” as Emmy Bernheim climbs and sings her way to the top of Mount Humongous as the brave and intelligent Sandy Cheeks. And you will want to be there to see AJ Russo dance with four legs and make you laugh as the short-tempered and sarcastic Squidward.

Maggie Smith stars as the money-hungry Mr. Krabs who is trying to get his wide-eyed teenage daughter Pearl, played by Gretchen Zabicki, to understand that “Daddy Knows Best.” These undersea friends all try to foil Plankton, played by Stella Ben-Canaan, who pulls off this mischievous role in hilarious fashion!

Will they save Bikini Bottom from disaster? Find out this weekend at The SpongeBob Musical, Youth Edition. This colorful and optimistic show is perfect for every age. It will be the “Best Day Ever!”
