On December 21, the Board of Selectmen voted unanimously to appoint Karl Kilduff as Weston’s town administrator, effective February 21.

Mr. Kilduff is currently town manager in Clinton, Connecticut. Previously, he served as executive director of the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority, town administrator in Darien, town manager of North Branford, and city manager of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University and a master’s in public administration from the University of Connecticut.

In announcing the selection, First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor said two rounds of a nationwide search had been conducted over the past several months, producing more than 30 candidates. She said the field was narrowed to 11 semifinalists, then four finalists, with Mr. Kilduff the unanimous choice of the Selectmen.

The heads of 12 Town departments, comprising over 70 employees, report to the town administrator, who reports to the First Selectwoman. Ms. Nestor said a public meet-and-greet with Mr. Kilduff will be scheduled soon.
