Check Child Car Seats, Sept. 29
Nearly three quarters of all child car seats are either improperly installed or misused, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics.
On Friday, September 29, car seats can be checked for free by a certified child passenger safety technician at the Weston Volunteer Fire Department main station, 52 Norfield Road.
The event is hosted by the WVFD in collaboration with the Aspetuck Health District and Yale New Haven Health Children’s Hospital.
Safety checks will be made on the 29th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Appointments are made by email to carseats@ynhh.org by the 28th.
