In a video interview, the new Weston Urgent Assessment Program is discussed by Dr. Andrew Gerber, President and Medical Director of Silver Hill Hospital, Weston Human Services Director Allison Lisbon, and First Selectwoman Samantha Nestor.
The program offers a free, prompt assessment and referral for ongoing care to children, adolescents, and adults facing substance abuse or mental health challenges.
Appointments can be made in advance by completing an online form on Silver Hill’s website or by calling Silver Hill admissions any hour of the day at (866) 542-4455.
In the interview, Dr. Gerber explains how the program came to be, a solution to a “fractured or disconnected” system laden with obstacles and delays. Ms. Lisbon provides details on how it works, and Ms. Nestor expresses optimism that it will become a core Weston service.
