RTC Adds Five New Members

At its June meeting, the Weston Republican Town Committee added five new members:

Lauren Gojkovich is the founder and managing member of LDG Advisory LLC, a strategic shareholder advisory firm. Lauren is a member of the State Bars of New York and Massachusetts. She holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a James Kent Scholar, and a B.A. in public policy studies from Duke University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Lauren and her family have lived in Weston for four years.

Melissa Walker is an attorney and counsel for financial news medium CTFN and is currently the vice chair of the Weston Board of Education. Melissa also has served as Board of Education representative and PTO Executive Board member at Hurlbutt and WIS, the Board of Governors of Weston Field Club, and past adult literacy volunteer at Norwalk Public Library. Melissa has lived in Weston for 17 years and has two children in the Weston school system. She holds a B.A. in journalism and political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School, where she was a member of the Law Review.

Victor Escandón is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of Boyden, a business consulting firm headquartered in Tarrytown, New York, and a Board Member at Biala Partners. In these roles, Victor has helped lead organizations through acquisitions, divestitures and other transformations. In addition to financial services, his strategic and operational capabilities extend to the consumer products industry. Victor has lived in Weston for 16 years, has two children in the Weston school system and served on the Board of Education. Victor holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania and a bachelor’s degree in finance from Boston University.

Kerem Dinlenc is the Vice President of supply chain planning for Tiffany & Co. He has held top leadership roles in luxury brands for 18 years, as well as a career in brand marketing communications prior to that. Kerem has lived in Weston for four years and has two children in Hurlbutt and the Intermediate School. Shortly after moving here, he served as Vice Chair for Weston’s Economic Vitality Committee, driving awareness among the community on key business issues such as commercial zoning in the Village District. Kerem received his Master of Business Administration from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and his B.A. in Economics from Cornell University.

Eric Carter has lived in Weston with his wife and two children since 2008. Entering his 24th year of service at UBS Financial Services, Inc., Eric is a Senior Vice President of Wealth Management, a Senior Portfolio Manager and holds the accreditation of Certified Private Wealth Advisor Professional, CPWA. Eric joined the Weston Volunteer Fire Department in 2010 where he currently serves as Lieutenant. Eric is a graduate of the University of Connecticut.

Stephan Grozinger, who was elected chair of the RTC in May, was very happy to welcome the new members. “The RTC is very fortunate to have five new members each of whom will add tremendous value to the organization. Eric, Melissa, Kerem, Lauren and Victor are dedicated volunteers and leaders in their respective industries who will help the RTC renew its mission and vision.”

The RTC also completed its interview of candidates for the November election. It expects to announce endorsements for the slate before the end of June.
