The Weston boys and girls track teams finished the 2023 outdoor season scoring points at the State Class M and State Open meets.

Junior Cameron Miles led the boys team at Class M by placing fourth in the 1600 meters with an excellent time of 4:20.32. He then ran a personal best 4:18.34 at the State Open, taking sixth place. The time is among the top five Weston all-time.

Miles also anchored the third place 4x400 meter relay team in 3:30.43 with teammates Jack Haythorn, Max Spencer and Nick Masters.

The 4x800 relay team of Asher Leuzzi, Bret Martin, Marcus Soennichsen and Becan Huck took third in 8:32.56.

For the girls, senior Ellison Weiner ended her stellar career with a victory in the Class M pole vault with a jump of 10'6", well below her season best. Battling injuries, Weiner was not able to perform at her best and could not defend her State Open title. She did manage to anchor the winning 4x400 relay team to a win in 4:10.03, where she was joined by teammates Sophia Taylor (sixth in the Class M 100 meters), Charlotte Carter, and Rian Goertz.

Sofia Zharyy scored a pair of fourth place finishes in the discus (99'02") and shot put (33'1.5").

Freshman Alexis Banks has blossomed into the newest in a line of great Weston javelin throwers, following State Open champs Shea Greene (current state record holder and recent Ivy league champion) and Kate Joyce (Princeton All American). Banks took third in Class M with a throw of 111'02" and then surprised the field by winning the State Open title with a throw of 115'10". As the only Trojan representative at the New England championships in Maine, she claimed All New England honors, taking fifth place with a throw of 118'4".
