Four local teen bands play popular and classic rock on the evening of June 24 to support young musicians who need access to lessons and opportunities to perform.

“Weston Woodstock” runs from 5:00 to 8:00 on the lawn at the Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Road. Bring chairs or blankets; food trucks will be on hand. Tickets, available at the door, are $15 for adults or $30 per family.

The event was conceived by Sophie Levy, a Weston High School junior and musician who had the idea to organize a concert to benefit KEYS, a Bridgeport nonprofit dedicated to providing free music lessons and performance opportunities to under-resourced students.

Ms. Levy is a member of the house band at Fairfield’s School of Rock and started her own band, The Corduroys, who will perform on the 24th with other local bands: Fever, Next Day Delivery, and The Barrels.

She is also working to gain support from sponsors, and hopes to raise at least $5,000 to benefit KEYS. All proceeds from sponsorships and ticket sales go to the organization.

Sponsorship levels are:

Rock star: $100
Superstar: $250
Rock Legend: $500

Potential sponsors can contact Avery Kreitler by email. Ms. Levy can be contacted by email for more information about the Weston Woodstock concert.
