Boys Track Fourth at SWCs

4x800 relay winners Becan Huck, Brett Martin, Asher Leuzzi, Cameron Miles

Senior Jack Haythorn and junior Cameron Miles led the Trojan outdoor track team to a fourth place finish at the 2023 SWC championship with a total of 58 points. The event was won by Newtown with 177.5 points.

A fast anchor leg by Miles on the 4x800 meter relay brought the team its only victory on the day, as he was preceded by Becan Huck, Asher Leuzzi and Brett Martin. Miles also took second in the 800 meter run in 1:59.34.

Haythorn had a busy day placing fourth in the 110 hurdles, sixth in the 300 hurdles, and second in the triple jump with a leap of 40'5".

The 4x400 meter relay finished a strong second with a season best time of 3:30.43. Miles and Haythorn were joined by seniors Max Spencer and Jay Watson.

Also contributing points were Blake Robinson in the high jump (fifth), Huck in the 800 meters (seventh), Jonathan Dalrymple (seventh), and Logan Byrne (eighth) in the shot put, and Anthony DeSantis (fifth) and Nicholas Barrera-Hawes (sixth) in the pole vault.
