“Adventures in Oz,” Immersive Theater at Lachat

A unique, live theatrical telling of the story of Dorothy, Oz, and the Yellow Brick Road takes place at Lachat Town Farm in performances beginning on Friday, May 5.

The adventures in the story belong to Dorothy, the orphaned teen who survives a tornado on her aunt and uncle’s farm and is launched into a land ruled by a powerful wizard and filled with magical creatures and dueling witches.

The experience takes place indoors and out, through Lachat’s barns, houses, rolling hills and forest paths as Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Lion make their way down the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City, once they have dealt with the Wicked Witch.

Intended for ages six to infinity, it all ends with a spectacular party.

Tickets are $35, and can be purchased at Lachat’s website.

Show dates and times are:

Friday, May 5: 6:00
Saturday, May 6: 3:00 and 6:00

A yellow brick of your own

Additionally, you can personalize the Oz adventure by sponsoring a brick on the Yellow Brick Road with your family’s name on it.

Your brick will be hand-created by a local artist, and you can pick it up as a keepsake after the run of the show. Order here. The $40 donation also supports Lachat’s programs.
